About Jody Hergert-Andresen

Jody received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Marquette University. She is also certified as a Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. In addition, she spent a summer working at Denali National Park in Alaska learning about and observing wolves in their natural environment.

Managing the Oshkosh Humane Society for six years gave Jody invaluable hands-on experience.

"The shelter environment provides the opportunity to work with many dogs every day, as well as every breed, mix, age and disposition."

She has been involved in obedience instruction and pet therapy since 1992. Jody owns a certified therapy dog, competes in Rally Obedience, and will be competing in agility soon. She belongs to the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and Therapy Dogs Incorporated. Jody attends seminars regularly to further her education and founded Pawsitive Directions in 2000.

Jody shares a home with her husband, Dave, and 3 adopted companions; Beau, ThD, CGC; Cirrus, RN, CGC and their cat, Holstein.
