Jody received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Marquette University. She is also certified as a Dog Behavior Consultant through the
International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. In addition, she spent a summer working at Denali National Park in Alaska learning about and observing wolves in their natural environment.
Managing the Oshkosh Humane Society for six years gave Jody invaluable hands-on experience.

She has been involved in obedience instruction and pet therapy since 1992. Jody owns two Certified Therapy Dogs and belongs to the
International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, the
Association of Pet Dog Trainers,
Love On A Leash Pet Therapy program, and
Therapy Dogs Incorporated. Jody attends seminars regularly to further her education and founded Pawsitive Directions in 2000.
Jody shares a home with her husband, Dave, and 4 adopted companions; 3 dogs - Dakota (CGC, ThD), Beau (CGC, ThD), and Cirrus (CGC), and a cat - Holstein.
